Emma Barboa

Emma Barboa, age 99, was born in llanito (Bernalillo), NM to Remedios C de Baca and Dolores Montoya. She was preceded in death by her son, Alfred J. Barboa; and her husband of 65 years, Alfred Barboa. She is survived by her sons, Rudy Barboa and Orlando (wife Betty) Barboa; and daughter, Linda Barboa. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Alfred and Emma lived in the Village of Pajarito in the south valley all of their married lives and had many close friends and neighbors. Emma was a member of the Legion of Mary at the Church of the Ascension and both were long time participants in the chapel of perpetual adoration.

There will be a visitation on Sunday, September 24, 2017 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., followed by the Rosary at 2:00 p.m., at FRENCH – University. Following the rosary please join the family for a reception in the FRENCH – University Reception Center from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, September 25, 2017, 10:00 a.m., at the Church of the Ascension, 2150 Raymac Rd SW. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ben Ojinaga, Daniel Barboa, Oscar Quinonez, Richard Gonzales, Richard Davis and Albert R. Castillo. Honorary Pallbearers are Dr. Craig Wong and Victor Belarde.
