Emily Boren

Emily Josephine Boren, age 92, a resident of Albuquerque, died Wednesday, November 7, 2012. She is survived by her son, Sam J. Boren and wife, Dorothy; daughter, Linda G. Boren; grandson, Sam C. Boren and wife, Susan, granddaughter, Stacy M. Mitchell and husband, Miles; and great-grandchildren, Christopher S. Boren, Cassie L. Boren, Chance O. Mitchell, and Ty M. Mitchell. Mrs. Boren was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Sam Boren. Emily was a descendent of a pioneer family (Staehlin family) who located in New Mexico in the 1880's. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church for over 50 years. Emily was also a member and past president of Albuquerque Assistance League. Services will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2012, 10:00 a.m., at Central United Methodist Church, 201 University Blvd. NE, with Rev. Dr. John Kees officiating. Entombment will take place at the Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to Central United Methodist Church.
