Emil Tomaskovic

TOMASKOVIC, EMIL JOHNAge 79, a resident of Rio Rancho, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, January 12, 2013. He was born on September 6, 1933 in Passaic, NJ to Michael and Katherine Tomaskovic. He is survived by wife, Dorothy Tomaskovic; daughter, Nancy Nelson; son, Mike Tomaskovic; sisters, Claire (Bob) Fraser and Kathleen (Joe) Coverdale; step-daughter, Becky McFarland; step-sons, Jacky (Shannon) McFarland, James (Karen) McFarland and Dwayne (Theresa) McFarland; granddaughters, Lindsey (Michael) Mahana and Tara (Jeremy) Tomaskovic; grandsons, Gregory Nelson and Matthew Tomaskovic; step-grandsons, Brandon and Brett McFarland, Anthony Alvarado and Nathan McFarland; step-granddaughters, Breale and Madyson McFarland; great-grandson, Evan Dodd; and great-granddaughters, Allyson Mahana and Aleena Dodd. Emil was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Katherine Tomaskovic. Emil served 4 years in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War servicing aircrafts. Before retiring in 2005, Emil owned and operated Mountain View Appliance Service for 25 years. He was a member of Albuquerque Woodworkers Association and was also a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Emil was a master woodworker, specializing in Intarsia, bowl turning and scroll work. Emil was a huge New York Giants fan! Emil and Dottie enjoyed being snowbirds residing in Arizona six months each year. Visitation will take place at FRENCH- Rio Rancho on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 17, 2013, 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Rd SE, Rio Rancho.
