Emery D. Lea

Emery D. Lea, age 82, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away surrounded by his family on Saturday, September 14, 2013. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Pat; daughters, Shawn Arnaud and Jene Guess and her husband, Charlie; grandchildren, Holly Blodgett and her husband, Harry, Eldon Arnaud, Stetson and Sellecca Berg; great-grandchildren, Jorden and Tyler LeFever; and many other wonderful relatives and friends. Emery was preceded in death by his precious daughter, Linda Belle Lea; his parents, Bill and Nona Lea; sister, Juanita; and brothers, Ike, Vernon and Ken. Emery was a veteran in the US Army, fighting in the Korean War. He owned and operated Emery Lea Tom's Sales and owned a ranch in New Mexico. He was very active in many areas of Hope Christian School. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope Christian School, 8005 Louisiana Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109. Services will be held Friday, September 20, 2013, 4:30 p.m., at FRENCH - Wyoming, with visitation from 3:00-4:30 p.m. Interment will take place Saturday, September 21, 2013, 2:00 p.m., at Lawn Haven Cemetery in Clovis, NM. The pallbearers are Eldon Arnaud, Stetson Berg, Tyler LeFever, Harry Blodgett, Dick Kaiser and Clyde McKenzie.
