Elton "Dale" Suazo

Elton "Dale" Suazo, Age 70, was a longtime resident of Paraje village. From the pueblo of (Acoma/Taos). Beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather was called back to his Eternal resting place on Monday, August 29, 2022, surrounded by his family. He entered the world on Tuesday, November 6, 1951, born to Jerry and Lucy Suazo.

Dale passionately served his state and community as a Human Services Director and retired as the director of the income and benefits division for 33 plus years. He is survived by his son, Justin Suazo; stepdaughter, Jolynn Sandoval; stepson, Jason Waseta; grandchildren, Stacey Suazo, Savannah Suazo, and Devin Suazo; great-grandson, Tobias Pino; along with many more grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Joan Yazzie, Larry Suazo, Michael Suazo, Sharron Suazo-Lincoln, Lynette "Marg" Lodgepole, Avery Suazo, Brenda Zamarron; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 32 years, Rita Suazo; father, Jerry Suazo; mother, Lucy Suazo; brother, Norman Suazo; and sisters, Doris Kestner, and Rita Cachora.

Services for Dale will be held Thursday, September 8, 2022, 1:00 p.m., at FRENCH-University. Viewing will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., leading up to Memorial Service. Reception to be held at family home immediately following services, at 821 Apache NW.
