Else Beyer Mahoney

Else B. Mahoney, 88, was called to her eternal resting place on January 26, 2017. She entered this world on June 4, 1928 in Nuremberg, Germany, born to Friedrich and Kreszentia Beyer. She came to the United States in 1949 with her first husband, Pablo Chavez where they resided in Ft. Sumner, NM with their family. She later became a U.S. Citizen and lived in Albuquerque, NM with her second husband. Else loved being outdoors and tending to her flower garden. She had a great sense of humor. She loved her pet black cat, Ozzie. At the time of her passing Else resided at the Life Spire Assisted Living facility.
Else is survived by her son, Frederick Chavez and wife, Susan of Albuquerque, NM; daughter, Benita Woodard of Grants Pass, OR; granddaughter, Patty Hutson and husband, Shane of League City, TX; and two great-grandchildren, Andrew and Colton. Else was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Freida Kranz of Montreal, Canada; son, Pablo (Paul) Chavez, Jr.; son-in-law, Richard Woodard; and husband, A.J. Mahoney.
A Graveside Service will be held Thursday, February 9, 2017, 11:15 a.m., at the Santa Fe National Cemetery (Committal Shelter) in Santa Fe, NM.
