Elroy Hansen

Elroy Hansen, 87, beloved Son, Husband, Father, and Grandfather, was called to his eternal resting place on February 11, 2025. He entered this world on December 5, 1937 in Beresford, South Dakota, born to Clarence and Louise Hansen. He is survived by his wife, Faye Hansen; son, Paul Hansen; daughter-in-law, Monica; grandson, Brock Hansen; son, David Hansen; and daughter-in-law, Colleen. Elroy served in the Army from 1957 to 1959 where he was sent to Germany for 2 years. After his military service he joined the Albuquerque Police Department in 1961 and retired as Chief of Police in 1985. A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 21, 1:00 p.m. at the Fraternal Order of Police, 4120 Cutler Ave. NE.

He loved being a grandfather to his grandson, Brock.

Being an extraordinary father to his 2 sons.

Being an extraordinary grandfather to his grandson.

Ultimately retiring as Chief of Police.

Enjoying many years of retirement with his family.

His greatest achievement was always being there for his family and friends no matter what they needed.
