Elizabeth (B.J.) Miller, age 88, left this world for her heavenly home, Thursday, July 29, 2021. This vivacious, loving friend will be deeply missed by her twin brother Robert Cheshire, sister-in-law Marie and husband Peter Whelan, daughter Nicole and husband Richard Castellese, granddaughter Candace and husband Colt Stout and their daughter Cedar, granddaughter Christen and husband Phillip Wise and their son Monty, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends dear to her. Raised in Albuquerque by Leonard and Agnes Cheshire with her three brothers Leonard (Chet), and John (Jack) (both deceased) and twin brother Bob. She attended St. Mary’s High School and UNM where she met her husband Alfred Miller (deceased), a loving match of 61 years, with three children; Christopher and Darcy (both deceased) and Nicole.
A real “Tom-Boy” she enjoyed remote woods living for Alf’s Game and Fish Dept. Posts, family motorcycling, and extended camping for hunts. Her faith gave her direction and strength, and she was always there for many with motherly interest, kindness, and care. A natural beauty and talented artist. She sang for friend’s weddings, played piano by ear, painting, and sculpting. Her career success came from watercolor and acrylic painting, teaching it and serving as partner in Amapola Gallery CO-OP. She loved a walk in the woods, working in the yard and garden, and making sure she flew the American flag everyday she could. We will miss the joy and enthusiasm that she met each day with.
