Elizabeth L. "Betty" Silva

Elizabeth "Betty" Silva, born Nov. 6, 1938 in Denver Colorado, a resident of Albuquerque since 1985, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2014. She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Jose D. "Little Joe" Silva; children, Jeannette Golenda and husband, Dave, Jerry Connely and wife, Paula, Steve Connely and wife, Cheryl, and Jay Connely and wife, Wende; step-children, Anna Silva and partner, Manuel, Joseph E. Silva and wife, Mary, Abran Silva and wife, Dee, John Silva, Diana Cordova and husband, Joseph, and James Silva; 23 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and six surviving brothers and sisters. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Lucaria (Garcia) Quintana and Hilario Quintana; sons, James and Jack Connely and her grandson, Austin Connely. She was very active with her husband at the Cardiac Center at UNMH. She had worked for more than 20 years at the West Side Health Center in Denver, CO. Cremation has taken place and Betty's life will be celebrated on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 2 p.m. at the family home.
