Elizabeth “Betty” Miller, 93, resident of Albuquerque, passed away on September 3, 2018 after a brief illness.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, a veteran of WWII, ex-prisoner of war, and Purple Heart recipient, Julius F. Miller. Betty is survived by her sons, Robert of Albuquerque, and Kenneth and wife, Cathy, of Altamonte Springs, FL.
She moved to Albuquerque in 2009 where she resided at La Vida Llena. Prior to that, she spent her early life in New Jersey residing in the cities of Passaic and Garfield. Upon retirement, Betty and her husband moved to Toms River, NJ where they enjoyed traveling and spending time with friends as members of the local Hungarian Club. Before her health prevented her, Betty enjoyed playing pinochle at Bear Canyon Senior Center and mah-jongg at La Vida Llena.
The family would like to thank the staff at La Vida Llena for their kindness and the loving care they provided.
Funeral Mass for Betty will be celebrated on Monday, September 10, 2018, 11:00 a.m. at Sangre De Cristo Catholic Church, 8901 Candelaria Rd. NE. She will be laid to rest with her husband at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery in New Jersey.
