Elizabeth Ehrhardt Hamke

Elizabeth Ehrhardt Hamke, age 90, passed away with family by her side on Saturday March 31, 2018. Elizabeth (Liz to those who knew her) was born in 1927 in Albany, New York to Lawrence and Regina Ehrhardt. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Robert Hamke (1964).

Elizabeth grew up in Albany, New York and graduated from Miss Quinn's Elementary and Kenwood Academy. She attended St. Rose College before going to Albany Medical for a degree in Internal Medicine. She completed internship and residency at Johns Hopkins and Denver General Hospital. After marrying John Robert Hamke and having three children, she worked at and retired from the Veterans Administration in Albany, New York.

Elizabeth had one sibling, Lawrence Ehrhardt Junior, who preceded her in death. Elizabeth is survived by her three children, Eric, Helen and Rolf; and two grandchildren, Aidan and Maximillian.

Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, April 3, 2018, 10:00 a.m., at John XXIII Catholic Community, 4831 Tramway Ridge Dr. NE, Albuquerque.
