Elizabeth Louise Garcia

Born Monday, March 16, 1964 in Albuquerque, NM, age 54, Our beloved sister went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, March 12, 2019. After a long bout with many illness's, she fell asleep and heard God call her name and answered, "Yes Lord" and left this earth for Heaven. Liz as we all called her was a very outgoing lady, an accomplished and award-winning cosmetologist, and will be missed by her family and many lifelong friends. She had that kind of personality that people who didn't even know her would sit down and talk to her for 5 minutes and become a lifetime friend. She is survived by her 5 sisters and brothers; Diana Owens of Albuquerque, Cornelia & Alfred Gallegos of Albuquerque, James & Kabiria Owens of Florida, Norman & Phyllis Padilla Owens of Albuquerque, Wendell Owens of Albuquerque; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Liz was preceded in death by her beloved Mother Edna Owens and Father James W. Owens. A Memorial service officiated by her brother Rev. Wendell Owens will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2019, 1:00 p.m. at FRENCH – University, followed by a gathering of loved ones and friends for a time of sharing at the home of her brother and sister in law, Norman & Phyllis Padilla Owens, food will be provided. Directions will be handed out at the service.
