Elizabeth Coca

Elizabeth Coca, 97, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, was called to her eternal resting place on Tuesday, January 7, 2020.

She entered this world on September 20, 1922 in Las Vegas, NM, born to Matias and Natividad Garcia Velasquez. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Anthony Will; grandson, David; sisters, Emma Roybal, Lucille Armijo, Betty Lou Martinez Smith; and brother, Benjamin Velasquez. She is survived by her sisters, Jean Charzenko, Flora Ann Hoffman, Judi Gallegos, Maxine Cisneros; brother, Joe Velasquez; son, Michael Coca; daughter, Eileen Mraule; granddaughters, Lisa Bettle, Erikka Mraule and Aimee Penny; grandson, Anthony Will Coca; and great-great grandson, Kyrin Penny.

Elizabeth was employed by U.S. Department of Commerce 1940-42 and Los Alamos National Laboratory 1947- 85.

A Memorial Service and interment will be held in the spring at Santa Fe National Cemetery, pending notification to family and friends. A Mass will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Las Vegas, NM after the interment, for family and friends.
