Elisa "Licha" Gallegos

Elisa “Licha” Gallegos, age 80, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend was called to her eternal resting place on Friday, July 20, 2018 in her home in Rio Rancho, NM surrounded by her daughter, Irene and grandchildren, Sonia, Nancy, and Andy. She entered this world on Friday,  June 17, 1938 in Chihuahua, Mexico born to Eulalio and Anastacia Carnero.
She was an accomplished cook at La Posta de Mesilla, where she worked for over 45 years preparing their famous “rolled” tacos.
She will be greatly missed!
A visitation will be held on Friday, July 27, 2018; 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., followed by a Rosary at Getz Funeral Home, 1410 E. Bowman Ave. Las Cruces, NM 88001.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 28, 2018; 9:00 a.m. at Basilica San Albino Catholic Church, 2280 Calle Prinicpal Mesilla, NM, followed by Graveside Service at San Albino Cemetery, 2965 Calle De Guadalupe Mesilla, NM.
