Eli Sanchez

SANCHEZ, ELIAge 81, a resident of Albuquerque, died Sunday, November 25, 2012. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Ortiz Sanchez of Albuquerque, NM; daughters, Rebecca Sanchez - Harbour and husband, Steven of Santa Fe, NM, Monica M. Black and husband, John D Black II, of Albuquerque, NM, and Veronica L Stager and husband, Mark of Edgewood, NM; grandchildren, Emily Hamilton and husband, Sterling, Elizabeth Harbour, Elijah Black, Sarah Black, David Stager, Michael Stager, Hannah Stager and Jessica Stager; one great-granddaughter on the way and many other family and friends including his sister, Dorothy Stevenson. Mr. Sanchez was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Virginia Sanchez. He served our country in the United States Air Force for 26 years including tours of duty in Korea and Vietnam. Following retirement he also worked for the US Postal Service and volunteered at the VA Hospital. Eli was a member of The Shrine of St. Bernadette Catholic Parish. Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, December 4, 2012, 9:00 a.m. at The Shrine of St. Bernadette. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
