Elena Noelle Buffington

Elena Noelle Buffington was born December 21st, 2024 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was diagnosed with anencephaly at her 10 week ultrasound appointment, which is sadly a terminal condition. However, due to amazing medical care, unwavering strength from her mother, and the power of the Lord Jesus Christ, she was born alive at just under 38 weeks. Elena took a few breaths and clasped on top her mom's thumb on several occasions. After a beautiful 51 minutes, Elena passed away peacefully in the arms of her mother, Venessa, and father, Jared. Even though she lived for less than an hour, she received a lifetime of love and will be forever in the hearts of all of her loved ones.

Elena will be survived by her mother and father, Venessa and Jared Buffington. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 16th at 10am at Vista Verde Memorial Park in Rio Rancho, NM.
