Eleanor Kelly, 97, beloved aunt, sister and friend, was called to her eternal resting place on May 30, 2017. She entered this world on July 30, 1919 in Chelsea, MA, born to James and Elizabeth Kelly. She is survived by her nephew, Robert Cowham, and her niece, Nancy Armijo (husband Dennis Armijo), as well as many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
Eleanor moved to Albuquerque from the Boston area in her mid-30s and worked for Sandia National Laboratory for many years. She was an avid golfer into her 60s and loved to garden. She worked crossword puzzles daily and watched sports on TV.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, John Kelly and James Kelly, and her sisters, Mary Brady, Gertrude Carr and Ruth Cowham.
Cremation has taken place. A Rosary will be held Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. at FRENCH – Westside. A Memorial Mass will be held Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 5712 Paradise Blvd. NW.
