Eldon R Julius

Eldon R. Julius departed this life on Sunday, November 7, 2021. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; two sons, Steve Julius (Cynthia) of Madison, WI and Craig Cottle (Linda) of Corrales, NM; grandchildren, Kristi Forcucci (Gino), Brad Julius (Kayla), Bailey Atwood (Tanner), and Cydnee Cottle (Freddie Gardea); great-grandchildren, Silas and Miles Atwood, Jovana, Yurani, and Ezekiel Gardea, and Sonia Forcucci; and sister, Maxine Barrett (Paul). He was preceded in death by his first wife, Loretta, mother of Steve; his parents, Alfred and Anna Julius; and two brothers, Marvin and Eugene Julius.

Eldon served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War. He attained an electrical engineering degree at Iowa State University and was employed by Sandia National Laboratories for 33 years. He retired in 1990. For many years, before and after retirement, he was the financial chairman at Faith Lutheran Church in Albuquerque. A major project in retirement was completely remodeling Steve and Cynthia's lake home in Minnesota. He took pride in always doing maintenance and improvement on his home.

Entombment has taken place at Sunset Memorial Park. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
