Elaine Rutten

Elaine Juanita Rutten, aged 84, passed away on 2/13/2025. She was a beloved mother, wife, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Elaine was born on July 12, 1940, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she spent her formative years. She attended St. Mary's High School and later had a professional career with the federal government and Sandia National Laboratories. Throughout her career, she was known for her hard work, dedication, and passion for helping others.

Elaine was a devout Catholic, was actively involved in her parish, and loved to pray and worship the Lord.

But more than anything, Elaine was a devoted mother. She loved spending time with her children, sharing stories, playing games, and watching their favorite TV shows. She was always there to offer guidance, support, and encouragement, no matter what challenges they faced. In her free time, Elaine enjoyed reading ,cooking, traveling and was always eager to share her knowledge and enthusiasm with others. She was an active member of her community, volunteering for various causes and organizations.

Elaine is survived by her loving husband, Johan Rutten, her child, Adam Keller, daughter-in-law Brandy Keller, and her grandchild, Luke Keller. She is also survived by her 4 step-children, Jay Rutten, Chris Rutten, Julie Cray, and Johanna Simon, as well as 13 step-grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Elaine was preceded in death by her son Walter Keller Jr. and her daughter Margaret Keller. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.

A Rosary will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 9 a.m., followed by Mass at 9:30 a.m., at San Clemente Catholic Church, 244 Luna Ave NE, Los Lunas, NM 87031. Graveside Services will be held at 2 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM.

Rest in peace, dear Elaine. You will be forever missed and always remembered.
