Eileen Laurel Gonzales

Eileen L. Gonzales, a long-time resident of the Albuquerque area, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 in the comfort of her son’s home.

During Eileen’s long life she was fearless, full of spirit, quick witted and laughed wholeheartedly alongside her loved ones.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Miguel A. Gonzales; son, Phillip R. Lopez; mother, Lou Garcia; and siblings, J.E., Consuelo, Augustine and Peggy.

She is remembered by her son, David Paul Lopez; grandchildren, David Lopez and fiancé, Tiffany Eckerson, Amanda Lopez, Jessi Lopez Duong and husband, Jonathan Duong, Galen Lopez, Justin Wesbrook and wife, Alicia Wesbrook, Jami Lopez; five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She will be laid to rest in a private ceremony and a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at her son David’s home, beginning at noon.

Her family would like to say an incredibly grateful “thank you” to Anita and Juliet, for the amazing care they gave her. Her last year was filled with love and laughter from these two amazing women. Her family would also like to extend a “very special thank you to Pam”, whose knowledge and support was instrumental in Eileen’s care and means so much. Thank you also to Armada Hospice.
