Eileen R. Campbell, beloved mother, grandma and great-grandma, passed away on March 1, 2025, at the age of 93. She was born in Gallup, NM, on February 28, 1932. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill; her mother Rose Juliana; her father James Juliana; and brother James J. Juliana. Eileen is survived by her children Mike, Pat, Diane (Jack) and Will (Meg); 6 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
Eileen had two main careers in her lifetime: nursing and being a mother. She excelled at both. It was during her schooling for nursing in Amarillo, Texas, that she met Margie "Smokie" Campbell, the sister of her future husband, Bill, who was in the Navy. They met via letter writing and eventually eloped in Tucumcari, New Mexico, in 1950.
They made their home in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and were married for almost 54 years before Bill passed away.
Despite being a shy person, Eileen had a keen sense of humor which she expressed more in her birthday notes than out loud. She loved to read Nora Roberts books, do word search puzzles and watch NASCAR racing.
Although she will be dearly missed, we know she is now in her forever heaven home with our Lord Jesus Christ and that she has been reunited with those who she has missed so dearly. Her tears of sorrow will now be tears of happiness and joy and her final journey can now begin.
A private interment will be held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery where Eileen will be reunited with the love of her life, Bill.
Mom, like we said, we love you! Catch our hugs!
