Edward “Ned” Underhill, age 84, a resident of Albuquerque since 1974, passed away peacefully at home Monday, October 30, 2017 with his children at his side.
He is survived by his sister, Linda; sons, Mark, Jeff, Todd and daughter, Susan, Todd’s wife, Annette and Susan’s husband, Mike; his grandchildren, Marci, Chelsea, Craig, Hayley, Doug, Scott, Kacey and James; great grandchildren, Emma, Charleigh, Andrea Rose, and Wyatt.
Ned was born March 1, 1933 in Piqua, Ohio. He married the love of his life, Josie in 1955, and they had a long and happy life together. He attended Kent State University and Highlands University where he earned his Masters in Business Administration. He joined the Navy in 1956 and was deployed to Vietnam in 1969, and again a year later in 1970. Upon retiring from the Navy, Ned served as a procurement analyst at Sandia National Labs from 1977 – 1997. He enjoyed golf and big band music. He was loved and will be missed dearly.
Friends may visit Friday, November 3, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at FRENCH – Lomas. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, November 4, 2017, 10:00 a.m. at FRENCH – Lomas. Interment will follow the service at Sunset Memorial Park.
