Edward Swofford

Age 61, of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully, September 22, at his South Valley home. Mr. Swofford was born May, 21, 1951, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to James and Juanita Swofford. He enjoyed coin collecting, reading, and spending time with his family. A dedicated medical professional for over thirty years, Dean assisted in saving many lives through his work in the ER. His desire to care for others was apparent in every aspect of his life, and to all that knew him. He is survived by his son, Derek Swofford. He was a dedicated father to Derek; doting grandfather to Harper Evelyn, and cherished uncle and brother. Although Dean's life would seem too short to many, those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. His gentle smile brought much joy to his family. He will be forever loved and missed. A service will be held, Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Sage Ward, 8130 Sage Road SW. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
