Edward Lee Skeans, 86, passed away surrounded by family on Tuesday, February 26th, 2019.

Edward was born in Portsmouth, Ohio on March 1st, 1932 to Ennis and Blanche Skeans. He was married to Marlene Roberta Napier on Christmas Eve 1953. Edward was an Air Force Veteran with 23 years of service. Edward and his family chose to make Albuquerque their home where he later retired from the New Mexico Gas Company. He enjoyed traveling, gardening, collecting coins and stamps, and he loved serving the Lord.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Marlene Skeans. He is also survived by his three children and their spouses, Chris and Karen Skeans, Linda and Claudio Castaneda, Rene and Rick Rodriguez; his seven grandchildren, Aleesha and Joe Homza, Kevin Darrell and Nicole Gabaldon, Michael Rodriguez, Paul Castaneda, Alyssa and Issac Wise, Austin Skeans, and Brian Curtiss; and five great-grandchildren, Rylee Darrell, Claire Homza, Atticus Darrell, Alexandra Weinrich, Isaiah Weinrich. He also leaves behind his brother, Howard Skeans; and his two sisters, Wilma Jean Gore and Wanda Click.

Friends may visit one hour prior to the Funeral Service Friday, March 1, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at FRENCH – Lomas.  Edward Skeans will be laid to rest at the Santa Fe National Cemetery with full military honors.
