Edward A. Kociscin, age 79, a resident of Albuquerque, died Saturday, May 31, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Peggy; daughter, Amy Elizabeth Kociscin; siblings, Joseph Kociscin and wife, Martha, Helen Lynch, and Florence Kalbac; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends. Ed was preceded in death by his son, John Patrick Kociscin; parents; and sisters, Anna, Margaret, and Mae. He was born in 1935 in Lansford, PA to John and Mary Lapos Kociscin. Ed received an Associate's Degree in Drafting and Design from Penn State and worked for Sandia Laboratory for 35 years retiring as a draftsman. He was a strong willed, very independent, and a do-it-yourself kind of guy who was always the first to offer help if someone needed it. He loved his vegetable garden, hunting, fishing, and dog training. He was a member of NAVHDA. Ed was a loving husband, father, and brother and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held at a later date.
