A Life of True Love

True love is like a beautiful rose, Inside your heart it grows and grows

You vow to each other, ‘til death do us part”, That true love grows deeper within your heart

God gifts you with children one, two and three, They share that true love from both you and me

As time passes by, life brings joys and sorrows, Though you are challenged, true love’s there tomorrow

But then comes a time when your heart starts to break, And you think perhaps God has made a mistake.

You realize however that true love is strengthened, Even though you are going through a heartbreaking end

You know that your mate is with God in Heaven, So you thank God for all the time He has given

I miss you so much, it has been ten years, But I listened to God who said “Do not fear”

Dear Ed, my true love, you’re still my soulmate, We’ll be together again, I just don’t know the date.
