Edward Royal Clark III, beloved husband, father, grandfather of five and great-grandfather of fifteen, passed away after a long battle of cancer on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 with his loving family at his side.
He was born on Tuesday, July 6, 1937 in Louisville, Kentucky to Nadine and Milton Clark. He is survived by his two children, Mike and wife, Marie, and Penny and husband, Wayne; grandchildren, Jason and wife, Andrea, Eddie and wife, Emily, Cody and wife, Katie, Justin and wife, Jennifer, and Monica and husband, Zach; and great-grandchildren, Sebastian, Nicolas, Matthew, Caedmon, Isaac, Blaise, Elise, Connor, Parker, Caroline, James, Jackson, Jadyn, Alexander, and Abigail; along with many extended family members.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and his beloved wife, Norma Jean. Edward was second to youngest of four sons and grew up in Kentucky until his family moved to New Mexico in 1944. He attended Valley High School and married his high school sweetheart in 1955. Edward was an avid outdoors man who loved to camp, hunt, fish, horseback ride, trap, and rodeo all over New Mexico. He loved to re-load his own bullets and target practice. He also enjoyed watching Western movies.
He will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts until we meet again in heaven. Viewing will be held Thursday, June 23, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at FRENCH-University. His Funeral service will be held the following day, Friday, June 24, 2022, 11:00 a.m., at Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Pallbearers will be Cody Clark, Eddie Clark, Jason Spencer, Justin Spencer, Zach Dixon, and Scott Clark.
