Edsel Eugene Overall

OVERALL, Edsel Eugene Age 83, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Patricia Dowd Overall; daughters, Dr. Theresa Overall of Farmington, ME, and Karen Overall (LCDR USN, Ret.) of Austin, TX; brother, Vernon Overall and wife, Nikki of Los Osos, CA; and sister, Twyla Gay Fleming of Tulsa, OK. His sister Loeda Richards and brother Wayne Overall and both their spouses predeceased him. His extended family consists of nine loving neices and nephews, their spouses, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Edsel graduated from UNM in 1954 and served as a 1st Lt. in the US Air Force during the Korean War. Edsel worked as an electrical engineer for various aerospace and nuclear engineering firms in Texas, California, Hawaii, Santa Fe, NM, Colorado and back to Texas, prior to owning and operating Overall Engineering Inc. in Dallas, TX. After closing that company he and his wife Patricia spent four years living full time in their motor home and working as chef and bartender respectively at various summer resorts in Wyoming and California. This allowed them to be "snow birds" in the winters. They retired back to Albuquerque in 1993. He was an active volunteer with Albuquerque Breakfast Civitan Club and Musical Theatre Southwest. Cremation has taken place and burial will be at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
