Edna Hards, beloved mother, grandmother, partner, sister, and friend, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at the age of 61. Born on August 12, 1962, in Candaba, Philippines, Edna touched the lives of many with her kindness, love, and vibrant spirit.
Edna was a devoted mother to her three children. Enrico Sagum, married to Alexis Sagum, Jelyn Samora, married to Isaiah Samora, and Sarah Hards were the center of her world. She cherished her role as a mother and found immense joy in seeing her children grow and thrive.
As a grandmother, Edna was adored by her grandchildren. Andres, Ezra, Nathaniel, Aria, Kalica, and Iris were blessed to have her as their loving and doting grandmother. She showered them with affection, wisdom, and beautiful memories that will be cherished forever.
Edna was also a loving partner to Adam Barker, whose unwavering support and companionship brought immense happiness to her life. Their love was a source of strength and joy for both of them.
Edna had a true talent for cooking. She made the most delicious food. Her culinary skills were especially evident in her mastery of Filipino cuisine, which she loved dearly. Edna's food brought people together, creating memorable moments filled with laughter, joy, and the comforting flavors of home.
Edna had a zest for life and enjoyed being with friends to play mahjong, dance and laugh. She had a playful and silly side, always bringing smiles to those around her. Her gentle and kind nature touched the hearts of many, and her elegance and beauty were admired by all who knew her.
Edna's memory will forever be cherished by her family and friends. Though she is no longer with us, her legacy of love, kindness, and strength will continue to inspire and guide us.
A visitation will be held Monday, November 6th, 2023, beginning at 10:00 a.m., followed by a rosary at 11:00 a.m., and a funeral service to honor and celebrate the life of Edna Hards at 11:30 a.m., at FRENCH - Westside, 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87114.
A reception will follow at the same location to provide an opportunity for family and friends to gather, share memories, and support each other.
