Edmund Thomas Mata

Edmund "Uncle Ed" Mata, 68, beloved son, brother, and uncle, passed away at home on Tuesday, March 14, 2023. He entered this world on Thursday, February 17, 1955, in Mosquero, NM, born to Ermenio and Corina Mata. Ed retired from Bernalillo County where he worked as maintenance at the District Courthouse. Ed loved going back home to Mosquero to visit family. He loved fishing and visiting Red River, NM.

Edmund is preceded in death by his sister, Lila Clay; mother, Corina Mata; father, Ermenio Mata; and sister, Frances Sedillo. He is survived by his sisters, Lillian Lujan and Annette Mata; brother-in-law, Richard Sedillo, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Rosary will be held Saturday, April 1, 2023 at FRENCH- University from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and a Reception to follow from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Interment will be held Saturday, May 20, 2023, 1:00 p.m., in Mosquero, NM.
