Edith Robinson Bauer, a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, since 1989, passed away July 16, 2024, at the age of 77. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Dale Gene Bauer, her mother, Louise Lee Robinson and her father, Wilbur Judson Robinson. She is survived by her sisters, Joyce Ellen Opsahl and Marie Robinson Kindt, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.
Edee Bauer attended Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Indiana, where she met her husband, Dale Bauer. They both graduated in 1968 just two days after their wedding. They moved to Springfield, Ohio while Dale earned his Master of Divinity and then to Denver, Colorado. They also lived in Idaho Springs and returned to Denver where Dale served as a minister.
In 1989 they moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico and lived there the rest of their lives. Dale served the Cross of Hope Lutheran Church in Albuquerque and Edee was active in a variety of ways in the churches where Dale preached. She enjoyed singing in the choir, participated in Stephen Ministries, a listening ministry, and helped with dinners. She also served as church secretary.
Edee and Dale shared many interests, including traveling and hiking. She was active on Facebook and always remembered birthdays and anniversaries. She also enjoyed studying German and how to use the computer.
Services will be held Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., at Cross of Hope Lutheran Church, 6104 Taylor Ranch Road NW, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87120.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cross of Hope Schools, 6104 Taylor Ranch Road NW, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87120.
