Edith Jenson

Age 89, a resident of Albuquerque, died Saturday, June 15, 2013. She is survived by her daughter, Ellen M. Jenson, of Albuquerque; her brother, Albert Gearing and wife Mildred, of Burleson, TX and her friends. Mrs. Jenson was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore A. Jenson and her parents, Charles and Alma Gearing. She served our country in the US Coast Guard during World War II. Edith earned a Bachelor's Degree in Home Economics and taught in various schools while her husband was in the US Air Force. Mrs. Jenson was very artistic, made friends of wild birds, loved pets and had a tender heart. Her service will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2013, 2:15pm at Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 N. Guadalupe St., Santa Fe, NM. Interment will follow. Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Humane Association, 615 Virginia St. SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108.
