EC Mason

EC Mason was born in Montgomery, AL on July 21, 1929 and passed away on February 16, 2015. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence C. Mason and Nettie Mason; three brothers, and one sister. He is also preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Maryalon "Janie" Mason, who passed in 2010. EC attended Hacklebury High School in Hacklebury, AL, where he graduated in 1948. EC then served in the Air Force from 1950 to 1973, earning the rank of Master Sergeant. He was stationed in Korea for a period of time. He is survived by his nephew, David Farley, and wife, Diane, of McAllen, Texas; his niece, Patti Farley, and her family, of Albuquerque; his grand-nephew, David Zach Farley, and his family, of Albuquerque, and his niece, Missie Jones, and her family, of Owensboro, KY. EC and Maryalon moved to Albuquerque in 1969 and had previously lived in many different cities while EC served in the Air Force. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Park's Centennial Urn Garden, 924 Menaul Blvd., in Albuquerque.
