Earle E. Johnson, age 91, a resident of Albuquerque since 1983, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2013. He is survived by his son, Larry Johnson; his daughter, Deanna Gear; grandchildren, Brady Gear and wife Anna, and Lindsay Gear; one cousin and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Delphine Johnson; and sister, Lois Walmsley. Earle grew up in Falun, KS, was a WWII veteran and worked for International Harvester for 35 years in Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and enjoyed outdoor activities, especially fishing with his family. Earle was musically and artistically talented, especially in landscape painting, building projects for his grandchildren and playing piano. He was a longtime member of the Lutheran Church and sang with the choir for many years. Graveside Services will be held Saturday, December 14, 2013, 3:00 p.m., at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
