Earl Harry Helgesen

Earl H. Helgesen of Albuquerque, NM, went to be with the Lord on March 31, 2022. He was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1932 to parents Torleif and Aagot (Ersted) Helgesen from Norway. His childhood memories were those of stickball games in the streets of Brooklyn with other children of first-generation immigrants. Earl saw action in Korea when he enlisted in the US Air Force. He married his high school sweetheart, Alice (Larsen) Helgesen, where they spent the next 65 years together, raising a family of four sons, until her passing in 2017. His professional career spanned more than five decades, rising from office boy to that of Vice President of Packaging for Consolidated Cigar Corporation. Earl was a devoted son, husband, and father, known for his easy-going manner where he enjoyed engaging you in conversation. He is survived by three sons, seven grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held April 14, 2022, at Gate of Heaven Cemetery with Paster Corey Sateren officiating.
