E. Leona Stockard

STOCKARD, E. LEONA Age 88, of Albuquerque, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 after a long bout with Alzheimer's disease. She was born on August 12, 1926 outside Oklahoma City, OK in the small county of Pottawatomie to Patrick and Eva (Wilson) Carnal. She was a loving mother and grandmother to all, she lit up any function she was a part of, from which she was extremely active throughout her life. She was a member of the Social Order of the Beauceant (SOOB) as president two different times, in both 1982 and 1989, from which she did charitable work for UNMH. She is survived by her husband Johnny Stockard and two daughters: Dale Anne and Barbara all of Albuquerque and one step daughter Sharon of California, along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 8 sisters and one brother and their spouses. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 26, 2014, 2:00 p.m., at FRENCH-Westside, with interment following at Sandia Memory Gardens.
