Dr. Anne Kempf, loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, passed away Friday, March 11, 2016 in Albuquerque, New Mexico at age 69. She was formerly of Washington, Indiana. Anne was the great-granddaughter of A.T. Still, founder of Osteopathic medicine. She was a graduate of the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and enjoyed helping her patients, promoting traditional Osteopathy, advancing medicine, reading and spending time with her grandchildren.
The daughter of Dr. George and Elizabeth Laughlin, she was born on December 16, 1946 in Kirksville, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Carrold J Kempf in 1971 in Grinnell, Iowa. Anne was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. CJ Kempf of Albuquerque, NM; her brother, Dr. Patrick Laughlin and wife Sue of Placitas, NM; her sister, Susan Laughlin of St. Louis, MO; her three sons, Nathan Kempf and wife Renea of Tijeras, NM and Dr. Joshua Kempf and wife Libby of Brainerd, MN and Aaron Kempf of Atlanta, GA; one daughter Rachel Gschwend and husband Chris of Olympia, WA; six grandchildren, Lilly and Daisy Kempf, Elle and Emmett Kempf, Eli and Rosalie Gschwend.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, March 17, 2016, 1:00 p.m., at FRENCH Funerals in Albuquerque, NM. Interment will take place in June at the Maple Hills Cemetery in Kirksville, Missouri.
