Doyce Charles Webb

Doyce Charles Webb, age 86 of Albuquerque, New Mexico, died Sunday, October 25, 2020. Due to COVID restrictions, there will be no services at this time. Hopefully, there will be a planned celebration in the spring to celebrate his life with his family and friends.

Charles was born March 28, 1934, in Headley, Texas and was the son of Pete and Velma Webb. He attended high school at Amarillo High and graduated in 1952. Charles served in the U.S. Army and was a Korean veteran. He married Betty Johnson on September 26, 1954 in Paducah, Texas. He worked for more than 40 years at Pantex and at Asarco Copper Refinery in Amarillo, Texas. Once retired, he drove the school bus for Canyon Independent School District in Canyon, Texas. Charles loved to golf, fish, and hunt, and spend time with his family and grandchildren.

Charles was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years; and his daughter, Tyra Woodard. Survivors include his daughter, Shanna Chavarria of Albuquerque; four grandchildren, Rachael Kranz and her husband, Robert of Austin, Texas, Erika Chavarria of Denver, Colorado, Courtney Holden and her husband, Devin of Ardmore, Oklahoma and Megan Woodard of Amarillo, Texas. He also has four great-grandchildren.

Charles was a loving, kind, and selfless man who loved with all his heart – he will be missed by all who knew his kind spirit and generosity.
