Douglas E. Nash, a resident of Albuquerque, NM for the past 30 years, passed away peacefully in his home April 22, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. Douglas is preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife of 72 years, Leona K. Nash and his son, Jeffrey Nash. He was born December 25, 1920 in Cleburne, TX to Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Nash. He was the fourth of six children - four boys and two girls. Douglas served in the United States Navy during World War II. He worked for the lab in Los Alamos, NM for 33 years and, following retirement, he served as a consultant. Douglas married Leona in 1942 and they spent their retirement years RV-ing throughout the U.S., Canada and Mexico. He loved music, good food and family. Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Guaje Pines Cemetery in Los Alamos, NM. Honorary pallbearers include Charles Durr, Douglas Nash, Vernon Rankin, John Thompson, Michael Tweed, Dan Royce and Ed Evans.
