Our Loving Mother, Dorothy Ann (Triggs) Stoneberger Dossey passed peacefully on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at 98 years young. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Dossey. She is survived by her sons, James Stoneberger of Fremont, California and Richard Stoneberger and wife, Lynn Stoneberger of Scottsdale, Arizona; daughters, Diana Stoneberger Briggs and husband, Dr. Robert Briggs of Albuquerque, Leslie Conrad and husband, Matthew Conrad of Albuquerque, and Lee Ann Bolduc of Ft. Worth, Texas; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Dorothy was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and graduated Classen High School. She married James Mark Stoneberger (deceased) who served our country as a US Army Air Corps fighter pilot in World War II. She later married Jim Dossey who was a nuclear engineer with Sandia Laboratory. Dorothy and Jim spent many years of their loving marriage traveling the world. Whether it be flying in glider planes, cruising the 7 Seas, swimming in the Pacific Ocean off Tahiti or riding horseback in the mountains they were inseparable and cherished their time together.
Dorothy enjoyed a powerful love of music. She played the violin, piano, organ, and rang hand bells at St. John's United Methodist Church where she and Jim were active members. She was an incredibly talented seamstress who could make anything and could do most everything when it came to artistic or crafty projects.
But most of all Dorothy was "Mom" to so many of her children's friends and to many other young people she met during her long life. She was known as the "compassionate communicator" and always said her dream job was being a "Mother."
She will be missed by so many as she was loved by so many!
