Dorothy Clay Morgan, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, peacefully went to heaven on Friday, June 21, 2019. She was born Monday, March 16, 1931 in Bath County, Kentucky to Sidney and Mary Clay. She graduated from Carlisle (KY) High School and then attended Kentucky Christian College where she met and married her college sweetheart Bill Morgan.

Dorothy’s life was spent serving others as a pastor and missionary’s wife. Bill and Dorothy served in ministry for over 65 years in West Virginia, Ohio, Virginia, Texas, Guadalajara (Mexico), Scotland and most recently at Valley Christian Church in Albuquerque, NM. She also worked in many other jobs throughout her life (college cafeteria director, various secretarial positions that included El Paso Community College, Lawyer’s Title, and Bank of America). Dorothy was famous for her hospitality, her vibrant hugs, and crocheting thousands of caps for the homeless.

Dorothy was the oldest of seven children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; and son, Dennis Morgan; her parents; her three brothers; and one of her sisters. She is survived by her son, William David Morgan (Pam) of Albuquerque, New Mexico, her daughter, Beverly Haak (John) of Houston, Texas, and seven grandchildren: Kami Pope, Kassi Walker (Bobby), Ashley Wills (Nate), Nick Green (Sara), Jay Haak (Karissa), Adam Green and Micah Morgan. Ten great-grandchildren: Cole Pope, Dominic Green, Hudson Haak, Audrey Green, Hadley Haak, Kenton Walker, Rhett Walker, Lincoln Wills, Harper Haak, and Eden Walker.

A Memorial Service celebrating Dorothy’s life and God’s promises will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 1:00 pm, at Valley Christian Church, 2850 Gun Club Road SW.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Valley Christian Church, 2850 Gun Club Road SW, Albuquerque, NM 87105.
