Dorothy Mae Isburgh, age 93, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2020. Born Dorothy Mae Giomi, she was a lifelong Albuquerque resident whose parents, Guido and Dorothy Mae Giomi, were proud members of the original Albuquerque Italian community.
In her youth, Dorothy performed in tap dance productions at the Kimo Theater and Albuquerque Little Theater. She attended Albuquerque High School and the University of New Mexico, and thereafter, spent several successful decades in the real estate business. Dorothy was well-known for her love of New Mexico art, travel, and family dinners.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Col. Peter V. Isburgh; and her son, Robert Bruce French.
She is survived by her children, Stephen Guy French and Katherine Tourek, Deidre Ann French, Gregg Brian French, Peter and Johanna Isburgh, Susan and Kevin Price, Kathryn and Britt Wilson, Carolyn and Richard Crombie, and Ann and Eric Staab. Dorothy is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Patsy and Art Wilson, as well as 15 cherished grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
