Dorothy Hopkins

Dorothy Hopkins, 90, passed away March 21, 2015. She is survived by her children, Cris Hopkins of Albuquerque, Nancy Paine and husband, Matthew of Arizona; grandchildren, Austin and Kristen Paine; and many other family and friends. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, James and Irma Hopkins and her brother, James Hopkins Jr. Dorothy graduated from Iowa State with a degree in Foods and Nutrition and after an internship she worked full time in Dietetics in Kansas City General Hospital. She moved to Albuquerque in 1969 and worked at Presbyterian Hospital for 25 years, including beginning the Dietitics Department at Anna Kaseman. She was a member of Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church. A Memorial Service will be Saturday, March 28, 2015, 10:00 a.m. at FRENCH - Lomas. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Presbyterian Hospice, 8300 Constitution NE, Albuquerque, NM 87112 or the charity of your choice.
