Dorothy Jean Heimann

December 31, 1931 — May 24, 2014

Jean was born in West Point, Nebraska, to John and Neva (Robbins) Keller on December 31, 1931. Jean passed away on Saturday evening, May 24, 2014, surrounded by her family - her husband, Ed; her two surviving children, Susan and Bill and her brother, Bill and his wife, Heidi. Jean's family moved from West Point while she was in the second grade. After attending other schools in Nebraska, Kansas and Colorado, she graduated high school in Longmont, Colorado. Jean graduated from Colorado State University and was a member of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority. Generous with her time for her family, she was always available to listen to their triumphs and troubles. Her love for them was never doubted. She wished the best for her friends and family. She prayed for her grandchildren's health and happiness. She enjoyed her dog family too. When they would come to visit, she loved giving treats. She enjoyed her volunteer work with the American Cancer Society, Assistance League of Albuquerque, and her church, Prince of Peace. Jean is survived by her husband, Ed; son, Bill and his wife, Robin; daughter, Susan; grandchildren, Daniel, Nicole, and Shawn; great-grandchildren, Bailey and Rylee; as well as her brother, Bill, his wife, Heidi, and their children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her daughter, Nancy. The family suggests that memorials be directed to the American Cancer Society or Animal Humane Society in Jean's name. Services will be held on Monday, June 2, 2014, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 12500 Carmel Ave. NE. The Rosary will start at 10 a.m. and the Mass at 10:30. A reception will follow in the church's community room. Interment will be at a later date at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. FRENCH - Wyoming 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE (505) 823-9400
