Dorothy (Nickerson) Gutierrez

Dorothy Gutierrez was born in Bloomfield, NM to Dan and Cleo Nickerson on July 11, 1932 and she passed away June 3, 2018 in Albuquerque, NM. She will be remembered as a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Adrian Gutierrez; son, Danny Gutierrez; and daughter, Christine Buckler. Dorothy is survived by her son, John; daughters, Geraldine and husband, Chris and Evelyn and husband, Dwayne; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Cordie, Stella, and Barbara; three nieces and four nephews.

Dorothy and her husband owned three childcare centers and she was active in her business until her retirement. She also attended Evangel Christian Center until her extended illness. She will be remembered for her love of God and family.

Friends may visit Tuesday, June 5, 2018 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at FRENCH – Wyoming. Services will be held Wednesday, June 6, 2018, 1:00 p.m., also at FRENCH – Wyoming. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
