Dorothy A. Christensen

Dorothy Adele "Dot" Christensen, age 91, passed peacefully in her sleep to His Eternal Kingdom on Thursday, July 13, 2017.

Some of her fondest memories in her youth were growing up in a loving Christian Children's Home in Fort Lee, NJ.

After graduation, Dot moved to Brooklyn, NY to pursue her career at Equitable Insurance Company. In Brooklyn, she met her future husband, Chris and they were wed in 1950. They subsequently moved their growing family to Albuquerque, NM in 1955. She is survived by her husband, Chris; sons, Richard and William (Naomi); daughter, Linda (Brian); sister, Lucy Schall of Connecticut; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; a nephew; and friends.

Dot enjoyed making and gifting handcrafted seasonal decorations. Her beautiful crocheted pieces are decorating many a recipients’ home. Dedicated to her family, beautiful, kind, elegant, thoughtful, straight-forward, and fun, she will be missed by all who knew her.

Cremation has taken place and should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made in Dot's name to the New Mexico Alzheimer Association, 9500 Montgomery Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87111.
