Born in Gruver, Iowa and married to George Brandt from Estherville in 1943. Their surviving children are Tom Brandt, Sue Brandt Johnson, and Mark Brandt; grandchildren, Kerry Chase, Zach Johnson, and Emma Brandt. The family lived in Humboldt, Iowa until relocating to Albuquerque in 1969. Dorothy passed peacefully at home with her sons and daughter beside her. She worked as a medical receptionist for 10 years then worked as a rental property manager. She concluded her career with 15 years as a Senior Companion with the Office of Senior Affairs at the City of Albuquerque. Dorothy loved basketball and was an usher at UNM Lobo basketball games for many years. She had many relatives and friends and leaves many great memories. Services will be Tuesday, December 22, 2015, at 11 a.m., at FRENCH - Lomas. Interment will follow the service at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 924 Menaul Blvd NE.
