Doris Razura

d. December 31, 2021

Doris "Do" Razura was born September 1, 1948 and passed December 31, 2021. In that span she was a daughter, sister, wife, friend, and teacher. Her parents, Walter and Dora Suhr, and her husband, Larry Razura, preceded her in death and she is survived by her brother Bryan and his family along with many friends. Her career as an educator of English spanned both private and public schools and generations of students of all backgrounds and ability. Always willing to engage in spirited conversation on topics of the day, her ability to challenge and support as a friend never languished and will be dearly missed.

Services will be held at French Funerals (10500 Lomas Blvd, Albuquerque, NM 87112), on Wednesday January 19, 2022 at 10:00 AM with a graveside service to follow at Fairview Memorial Park, (700 Yale Blvd SE, Albuquerque, NM 87106).

In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a donation to the Larry Razura Memorial Scholarship at Eastern New Mexico University (Station 8, 1500 S Ave K, Portales, NM 88130).

For what is it to die but to stand naked in the wind and to melt
into the sun?

And what is it to cease breathing, but to free the breath from
its restless tides, that it may rise and expand and seek God unencumbered?

Only when you drink from the river of silence shall you indeed
sing.

And when you have reached the mountain top, then you shall begin
to climb.

And when the earth shall claim your limbs, then shall you truly
dance.
