Doris S. Edmonds

Doris S. Edmonds was born in Shiro, Texas, August 18, 1934. She spent her teenage years in Huntsville, Texas and graduated from Sam Houston High School in Huntsville, Texas. She married George F. Edmonds September 1, 1950. During their lifetime together, Doris and George lived and worked in Germany; New York; Glastonbury CT; Nyeri and Nairobi, Kenya; Hingham MA; Elizabeth City NC; and Chesapeake VA. After Mrs. Edmonds and her husband, Dr. Edmonds, retired, she as secretary of the Department of Geosciences at Elizabeth City State University, Elizabeth City, NC and he as professor of Mathematics at ECSU, they became residents of Rio Rancho, NM in 2006.

Mrs. Edmonds was preceded in death by her husband, George; her son, Kirby; and her half-sister, Vivian. She is survived by her daughter, Katree; daughter-in-law, Judy; and grandsons, Quincy and Ramsey; as well as her half-sister, Harold Dean; half- brother, Harold; and other wonderful relatives and friends.
