Doris (Exum) Condon

November 11, 1928 — June 24, 2022

At last, Doris Condon is celebrating with Jesus in her forever life!
Doris Exum Condon was born in 1928 in Amarillo, Texas. She attended high school in Artesia, New Mexico. In 1948 she married Ray Bell and moved to Roswell. They had one child, Richard M. Bell.
Doris loved playing her piano. In 1965 she obtained her private pilot's license. She was also active in her church.
After her divorce from Ray Bell, Doris lived in Albuquerque for the remainder of her life. She attended UNM, then worked at UNM, becoming executive secretary to John Perovich, the Vice-President for Business Finance.
In 1975 Doris married Thomas Patrick Condon. They enjoyed working together and traveling.
After her son Ricky's suicide, Doris was active in Survivors of Suicide for over ten years to encourage others to fight the stigma of suicide and mental illness.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Ricky in 1995; her husband, Tom in 2013; and her brother, also by suicide.
Doris cherished many family of the heart including Karyn DeMartelaere and husband, Steve DeYoung, Suzanne and Scott Mills, and especially Donna Cox of Comfort Keepers for over ten years. Doris was grateful for Marty Brown and Edwina Wattington of Geriatric Care Management. Doris was thankful for the care she received while residing at La Vida Llena.
Doris is survived by two grandchildren; her stepdaughter, Colleen Condon; a niece; and grandniece.
Doris asks that you consider donating to the Alzheimer's Association in her memory.
Now Doris is dancing with God! He saw her though it all. Thou hast turned my mourning into dancing! (Psalm 30:11)

A celebration of life has been planned for Wednesday, August 31st at 3pm at La Vida Llena 10501 Lagrima De Oro Road NE, in Carter Hall.
